Q1. Do I really need a consultation?
Absolutely. This is the initial step in the process of getting hair extensions. There are several factors involved in determining which extension method is best suited for you. During the consultation process, we will discuss your current and desired length, color, texture, volume and budget. Please allow at least 30-minutes for your FREE consultation.
Q2. Why do you require a deposit?
An extension installation and/or multiple salon service requests are lengthy processes that require the stylist to allocate a large amount of time. As all visits are scheduled by appointment only (no walk-ins accepted), the stylist cannot recoup lost income in the event of a no show. To prevent no calls/no shows, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required at least 72-hours prior to your appointment. The non-refundable deposit reserves your appointment time and will be deducted from the total balance you were quoted at the time of your consultation. The remaining balance will become due at the time of your appointment.
Q3. Do I lose my deposit if I need to reschedule?
No. You are allowed a one-time rescheduling courtesy, if given with a least a 24-hour rescheduling notice and if the hair extension appointment is rescheduled and held within 2 weeks (14 days) of the original appointment. However, please keep in mind if the rescheduled or second appointment is cancelled or results in a no-show, you will forfeit your deposit and no further courtesy will be allowed.

Q5. How long does it take to order the hair?
Usually it takes up to 3-5 days (free shipping). However, I can get the hair next day for an additional charge!
Q6. Can I bring or provide my own hair?
Yes. You may bring your own hair as long as it is an unopened, brand-new package of hair, two (2) packs/bundles or 8 oz. of hair is needed for the installation. And, if applicable a closure or full frontal. The hair extensions product that have been previously installed, used, pre-cut prior to your application appointment may incur an additional charge.
Q7. How long does the hair extension installation take?
Depending upon extensions method chosen, it can take anywhere from 1-4 hours.
Q8. Will the hair extensions damage my own hair?
Honestly, ALL hair extensions add a certain amount of stress on the hair. Maintenance is key! If you follow the At-Home Care Guide and keep up with your scheduled maintenance appointments, you should not experience any damage to your own hair. KNX SALON is skilled in the art of hair extensions and would only recommend the installation that's right for you and your hair type.
Q9. How much maintenance is involved?
Very little. The extensions can be blow-dried, curled and styled as usual. Avoid using excessive heat as it may dry out the hair. Use a thermal protectant prior to any heat styling. And never go to bed with wet hair to avoid any unnecessary matting. it is highly suggested to all clients to keep their scheduled follow-up appointment every 6-8 weeks.
Q10. How long must my hair to be to get extensions?
It is best to have at least 4 inches on the crown to have natural-looking extensions. Hair in the nape and sides should be at least 2-3 inches in length.
Q11. Can I color the extension hair?
Only virgin hair extensions can be colored or lighten with hair lightener. However, we do not recommed coloring or lightening any other type of extension hair because the hair has already undergone several chemical processes and unpredictable results may occur. It will also become more dry and unmanageable. If coloring is unavoidable, we suggest using deposit only color.
Q12. When can I book an appointment?
KNX SALON tends to book up two (2) weeks in advance, therefore we recommend booking your appointment early, you may book as far in advance as one (1) month to ensure you get your desired time frame.
Q13. Do you guarantee your work?
We strive to provide world-class service to our customers and to ensure you are satisfied with those services. If for any reasons you are not satisfied with your service, please let us know within 24 hours of receiving your service and we can schedule a correction within one (1) week maximum from the original appointment date.
